Committees
Community Service - Implement projects on the arts, business affairs, citizenship, civic improvement, community beautification, conservation, health, international understanding, literacy, public affairs, safety or help for senior citizens and disabled persons. Popular projects include Meals on Wheels, issues forums and youth exchange.
Our club’s projects: Participate in Operation Clean Stream, provide transportation for Key Club for door-to-door United Way campaign, Christmas Angel Tree Gift Delivery
Club Administration - Responsible for providing the most effective club meeting possible. Areas of focus should include the club meeting program, risk management, reception, fellowship and inter-club relations.
Finance and Fund Raising - Responsible for preparing a budget of estimated income and expenses for submission to the board of directions, as well as any recommendations it may have on financial matters of the club.

Human and Spiritual Values - Implement projects that support spiritual development, provide human companionship and comfort or offer counseling and guidance. Popular projects include prayer breakfasts, layman of the year awards, transportation to religious services, visits to nursing homes and support of grief counseling.
Our club: Invite guest speaker (usually a minister) to present a program at a meeting, sending cards, visitations.
Membership Growth & Education - Develop a plan for increasing club membership, develop an effective orientation and induction ceremony for new members and promote regular attendance by all members at club meetings.
Our club: Organized membership campaign with goal of 25% increase for 2008-2009
Public Relations - Responsible for helping to ensure that the public is informed, through the media and other means, about the programs and achievements of the club.
Our club: Brochure, Articles and pictures in The Missourian newspaper, radio PSAs and guest spots, Peanut Days posters with pictures and a list of club projects, K-NEWs newsletter, a Website: www.UnionKiwanis.com
Sponsored Youth - Devise ways and means to support the Key Club in high school–including attending Key Club meetings and promoting their activities. Also consider establishing new sponsored programs. (Ex: K-Kids in elementary school and Builders Club in junior high or middle school.)
Our club: Sponsor UHS Key Club and Beaufort Elementary K-Kids
Young Children Priority One - Implement projects for children, prenatal through age five. Projects can address maternal and child health, childcare, early development, nutrition, parenting education and support, advocacy, pediatric trauma or safety. Popular projects include encouraging literacy, assisting childcare and preschool programs, distributing the home-safety checklist, conducting bicycle safety programs and assisting with immunization programs.
Our club: Christmas stockings and puzzles for Head Start children, RIF, PAT
Youth Services - Concentrate on projects (such as Special Olympics, Terrific Kids, Scholarships) that help school-age children ages six through adult.
Our club: Terrific Kids, Camp Wyman clean-up, four scholarships for high school students, sponsor youth to attend Camp Wyman, sponsor representatives to Boys State and Girls State
